UPDATE: The Georgia General Assembly has passed the budget retaining 90% of autism funding. Thank you for reaching out to your legislators on our behalf. You made a difference and because of you we will be able to continue providing autism education and advocacy throughout Coastal Georgia and beyond.  As the Georgia General Assembly prepares its 2021 budget forecasting COVID-induced revenue shortfalls, every Georgian must do our part to “flatten the curve” of financial impact and share equally in efforts to do more with less (recover responsibly, ie…). However, autism support services should not shoulder an inordinate share of the burden. Proposed elimination of all state funding to the Matthew Reardon Center for Autism would terminate our organization’s existence and eradicate southeast Georgia’s only comprehensive educational and advocacy support programs for children and families affected by autism.
